Engage. Educate. Inspire.

Since 1839, Westfield State University has prepared future educators for success in the classroom, a mission that continues today. With a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Westfield State, you’ll gain the support, expertise, and confidence you need to make a lasting impact on your students.

Our M.Ed. programs offer 14 concentrations leading to licensure, two non-licensure concentrations, and flexible scheduling options available in both full- and part-time formats to fit your busy life.

Designed for both new educators seeking Massachusetts initial licensure and experienced teachers pursuing professional licensure, our graduate programs provide a pathway for every stage of your career. For those who already hold professional licensure, the M.Ed. concentrations allow you to enhance your expertise, explore new areas of interest, and advance your professional goals. Please note that some concentrations require initial licensure for admission into the graduate program.
