Our Classroom!!

Our classroom has flexible seating, calm down area and a huge library!!
I am a strong believer in flexible seating because I know young students want and need to move! We have regular chairs one would see in an 'normal classroom, bean bag chairs, yoga balls and rounded stool chairs! These are all used to be used as tools! If I may notice a student being unsafe with a seat, we will explore another option!
The calm down area can be used as a work space or to simply calm down. Sometimes students need a minute to relax, my classroom is a safe place for that! If I am working one-on-one with a student, we can definitely use this area as a work space!
Of course, as a reading teacher, I have a huge library! I have a wide variety of genres and reading levels. Books can be selected by students and myself to work in class on and bring home!
