Introduction
Ahoy! Welcome aboard Miss. S
and Miss. V's second grade classroom. We are very excited to
be teaching the 2B ship! Welcome to our class website, also
known as our very special treasure map. Here you will find
important announcements, sites for students, sites for
parents and teachers, the lunch menu, information about our
classroom, our class pet, and other bits of important

Technology Statement
We believe that technology can be a
very useful resource to help assist our students'
learning. The use of technology gives us the ability to
experience opportunities and access to resources that we
can't always have in our general classroom. Whether its
watching a video of a large scale science experiment, or
playing interactive math games, technology is a great
supplement to our teaching styles. Technology should not
be used to replace what goes on in the classroom, but
rather, to supplement and support what is taught as a
secondary resource.

Ahoy! My name is Miss. Saltmarsh! I am originally from Norton, MA a small town near Boston. I graduated from Westfield State
University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in history. I love dogs, art and crafts, and also teaching. I am exciting to be
teaching alongside Miss Varghese!
Miss. Sharleen Varghese
Ahoy! My name is Miss. Varghese, or Miss V. for short. I am incredibly excited to be the Co-Captain of the second grade ship with Miss Saltmarsh!
I hail from Boston, MA and lived in Massachusetts my whole life. I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education
and my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in General Science from Westfield State University. In my free time
I like to paint, go treasure hunting, write music, and play with my new puppy, Oliver!
