Hello there! My name is Laura Cafaro and I am the Assistant Coordinator of Orientation, Champions Network during the summer. Before orientation starts, I wanted to connect with you all to introduce myself!
Just like your student, I am a new Owl here at WSU. I recently started in the role of Coordinator of Student Involvement. Within this role, I advise the Student Government Association which consists of a group of students who collaboratively work to enhance student experience in all aspects from student life to academics and even social areas! As the student involvement coordinator, I also advise the First Year Class Council which your student can look to join in the fall to help in bringing their 2026 class together throughout their first year and their next four years here! Before starting at WSU, I recently graduated with my Master’s of Education, Student Affairs Administration. While gaining this degree, I worked with college student leaders in supporting them through planning events for their peers and advising organizations similar to those I now advise at WSU.
As a former college student who truly found passion in helping her peers, I look forward to supporting Champions through this summer as your students take on the Nest! This summer is going to be an exciting time for both you and your student and Lindsey and I are so grateful to support you all as we welcome you to our campus!
