Our mission is to provide coordinated health care, wellness education and disease prevention enabling students to achieve their academic goals.

  • All medical emergencies should phone Public Safety at X5262 or dial 911.
  • Emergencies are transported to Baystate Noble Hospital by Public Safety or ambulance.

Important Semester Information:

Health Services staff will be available by telephone Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. for guidance about health-related concerns. Please contact us at 413-572-5415. For students living on campus, we will schedule appointments Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. If students living off campus experience any symptoms of concern, please call your primary care physicians, local urgent care centers, or local emergency departments. Please mail or fax your health records directly to Health Services. Our fax number is 413-572-5545. At this time, we discourage students from dropping their records off in person.  

For students with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Student Health Insurance Plan, please note that your plans are still in effect, and your policies will not expire until July 31, 2020. For questions about benefits or claims, please call the Member Services number on your student health plan cards. You can also go to www.universityhealthplans.com, and then type in Westfield State University, to learn more about your insurance plan and coverage.

  • There are no suspected cases under evaluation at Westfield State.
  • If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 AND have either traveled to any affected area or been in close contact with someone ill with COVID-19, please call University Health Services before coming into the University Health Services office:
