Study Abroad

Nursing student surrounded by children in Guatemala

Begin your global adventure now!

Students who have studied abroad have greater intercultural understanding, better grasp the complexity of global issues, and are better equipped to work with people from other countries. Studies have even shown a positive correlation between students who study abroad and higher grade point averages and degree completion rates. And this is especially true for underrepresented and at-risk students.

Eligibility Requirements

All Westfield students that meet the following criteria are eligible to study abroad:

  • 2.75 GPA (2.5 for consideration)

  • Successful completion of at least 40 credit hours

  • Good standing under the Student Code of Conduct

Please note that some programs have higher requirements and these are only the requirements for Westfield pre-approval. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis, but are never guaranteed.
