Student Rights

As a Westfield State student, you have the right to:

Exercise the freedoms of inquiry, expression, assembly, and association consistent with the educational mission of the University.
Have your voice heard in matters that affect you.
Receive written notice, access to relevant information, and an opportunity to be heard if you are involved in an alleged policy violation.

Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive campus environment.
Familiarize yourself with and uphold the community standards and policies outlined in the Student Handbook and other official University publications.
Respect the rights, dignity, and well-being of others.
Challenge yourself—and others—to do better when our shared values fall short.
