Our mission is to provide coordinated health care, wellness education and disease prevention enabling students to achieve their academic goals.

  • All medical emergencies should phone Public Safety at X5262 or dial 911.
  • Emergencies are transported to Baystate Noble Hospital by Public Safety or ambulance.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the deadline for submission of ALL Students Health Records is August 28, 2020.

Important Semester Information:

Health Services is no longer seeing patients on a walk-in basis. Health Services is available for health-related concerns via telephone, telehealth appointments or in-person appointments.

Monday–Thursday: 8:30 am - 5 pm
Friday: 10 am - 5pm

CALL Health Services at 413-572-5415 to discuss your health concern with a provider and we can decide which option is the best for you.

We are located in the back of Scanlon Hall. Look for the large blue sign outside our door. Health Services is closed weekends, holidays, and for weather related closures.

Please mail or fax your health records directly to Health Services, or you may put them in the yellow drop box outside the Health Services main door.

If you are a student with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Student Health Insurance Plan and you have questions about benefits or claims, please call the Member Services number on your student health plan cards. You can also go to, and then type in Westfield State University, to learn more about your insurance plan and coverage.

The Flu vaccine is now required by the state of MA for all students attending a college in the state. This applies to all undergraduate and graduate students under 30 as well as part time and full time health science students. The only exemption is for college/university students who attend classes exclusively online and never visit campus. College students who attend any classes or activities on campus, even once, must be vaccinated. This will be an annual requirement going forward. If you have not already done so, please send documentation of your flu vaccine (administered 8/1/20 or later) to WSU Health Services at
