Biography

Besides teaching at Westfield State University, Dr. Nguyen has taught different undergraduate and MBA classes at the University of Rhode Island, Roger Williams University, Marymount Manhattan College, Adelphi University, and Northern Arizona University. His research interests include Corporate Finance and Investments, Corporate Voluntary Disclosures, Analysts’ Behavior, Corporate Governance, Stock Repurchase, Debt Violations.

Previously, Dr. Nguyen was also a manager for many multinational corporations such as ExxonMobil, Allianz, and TVT. He has worked on some consulting projects with World Bank, Garmex, and other corporations; he also has experience in the hedge fund and investment banking industries.

He enjoys playing tennis and conditional training as well as watching football, tennis, basketball, and volleyball. He also enjoys traveling with his wife and two children; he has travelled to more than 35 countries and 49 US states and 8 Canadian provinces.

Professor Nguyen holds an MBA at the International University of Japan in Niigata, Japan and PhD in Finance from the University of Rhode Island.
