With almost 1,000 students and about 90 full-time faculty, as well as many visiting lecturers, The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) contributes to the intellectual life of Westfield State University through a wide variety of concentrations and course offerings that promote creativity, critical thinking, civic and global engagement, and undergraduate research.

College of Mathematics and Sciences
Our academic focus is centered around our desire to learn about and improve the human condition and the natural world. Students are prepared for entrance into the workforce or advanced studies due to a strong academic foundation and experiential learning opportunities, such as internships and undergraduate research. CMS includes approximately 60 full-time faculty and 1000 students.

Westfield State offers one of the most comprehensive universities for continuing education in Massachusetts. We oversee all academic programs that fall outside of the full-time undergraduate day division. Students come to us from a variety of careers, life experiences, and undergraduate programs.
