Westfield State hosted Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll on October 9, 2025 for a campus tour and conversation about the BRIGHT Act which aims to modernize Massachusetts’ public higher education infrastructure.  $2.5 billion in new capital funding to improve schools like Westfield State who are in critical need of investment. The efforts would create new student spaces, including labs and classrooms while addressing deferred maintenance across the state.
