Westfield State Nursing Program Receives Recognition

Westfield State's Nursing program has recently been named among the best in Massachusetts for 2026 by RegisteredNursing.org's 10th annual rankings. The program was named #3 best Nursing school in Massachusetts, reflecting the daily work faculty, staff, and students put into creating a strong academic experience that prepares graduates to step into nursing careers with confidence.
According to their website, "Beyond the availability of nursing programs throughout [Massachusetts], the nursing shortage has also contributed to the growing number of positions available in Massachusetts. By 2030, Massachusetts is expecting a 12% surge when it comes to nursing positions."
The rankings are determined by NCLEX pass rates, which help prospective nursing students make informed educational decisions by providing a clear, data-driven assessment of program performance. Westfield State was honored for being a "consistently high performing school" with an average pass rate of 97.33%. This exceeds the state's 2024 91.35% pass rate.
