Take the Next Step:
Interested in Pursuing a Career in Education?
Westfield State’s education programs are among the most popular at the university. Our skilled faculty offer a combination of both online and in-person evening classes to best meet the needs of our diverse students. We offer programs for students looking to begin and advance their teaching career.
Our course offerings allow students to be flexible and set their own pace for earning their degree.
Why Westfield?
Westfield State was recently ranked 12th in the country on the “Best Colleges for Elementary Education” list by Teacher.org. Our low class sizes help you feel connected to your professors and classmates.
We offer classes in the evening after 4 p.m., with some classes being offered online, allowing you to complete the program at your own pace.
Courses are offered year-round with classes being held during the Fall, Spring and Summer sessions.
Westfield State is a fraction of the cost of other universities. We're currently offering a teacher incentive discount, which is a reduced rate for those enrolled in our education programs.

Our Education Programs/Coursework
At the graduate level, master’s degrees have been especially designed for new and experienced teachers. Licensure at the initial level is a prerequisite for entry into many programs in the graduate program group. For teachers with professional licensure, the Master of Education concentration programs offer an opportunity to enhance established skills and interests and to experiment with areas of study related to the professional license.
